Pamela Usanto is a Fashion designer who has made her mark as a bridal designer in Melbourne, Australia and currently based in Jakarta. She obtained her Bachelor degree of Nutrition when she was solely 20 years old, later figured out her life-time passion is to work in fashion industry as she went to a cinema and watched the film Devils Wear Prada which made her instantly and strongly believe that it is the exact industry where she would like to work in. Pamela obtained her second degree of Bachelor of Applied Science (Fashion Technology) in RMIT brunswick Campus.
In 2010, Pamela started to develop a visionary label that is dedicated to real women on the same time she worked in one of the bridal atelier in Melbourne. Her true passion for what she does slowly began to unveil as she enthusiastically spent most of her free time to sketch and to look for fabrics for her collection. She then did her first collection shoot in Melbourne and independently expanded her connection by emailing her friends.
On the same following year in June, She took an opportunity offered by her friend to launched her very first collection in Mansion Butleigh Wootton in Melbourne, then later in November she got her first chance to dressed an actress for red carpet. an Australian actress, Ashleigh Cummings who needed a dress to attend AFI Award and came to the shop of Lady Petrova, a finalist from Project Runway Australia who later contacted Pamela to made a dress for Ashleigh.
To design clothes that are classic and timeless rather than trend driven and are empowering for “real women”, women of different sizes and different insecurities in aim to make them feel beautiful and comfortable are what differentiate Pamela Usanto Atelier from other Fashion Designers as well as naming the costum-made dresses after the bride’s name as Pamela’s signature.
Apart from her life as a fashion designer, she’s currently maintaining a healthy lifestyle such as dairy-free cooking and traveling to Bali as a part of her escapism. She look up to Oprah for her ability to empower people regardless of her vulnerability. Pamela also admires people who are not pretentious and honest as she believes in people who are real.
“keep your promises, make the people whom I work with happy and accommodating.” Are three very important keys to her work ethics. Pamela hopes to keep on improving in every single day of her life and perhaps one day could bring a good cause to the world.

Pamela will be launching her signature camisole silk dresses and ready-to-wear collection along with her silk slippers exclusively for Niniveh’s “Time Through Travel”.
